Taunton racecourse is one of the more recently established racecourses in Britain and one of the most wonderfully located courses in the country, with outstanding views across the racecourse to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills also, St. Michael's Church, which is the only remaining building and the tower can be clearly seen when looking across the course from the stands. Taunton racecourse is only a few minutes drive from the centre of Taunton.

With 13 Jumps race meetings per year, the course attracts an informed and friendly crowd from across the South West.
